The Ladybug loaded up and rollin' on the ORIGINAL HISTORICAL ROUTE 66! Ok, maybe I'm a little too excited about this pic, but it's AWESOME!

I think this is the best picture I've ever taken... This is in the middle of the desert. In the 50s a man who owned this land built a tourist attraction where people could climb up in a tower and see the Meteor Crater that was about 6 miles from here. He charged people $25 to climb up there and then told them that they could go further down the road to actually go in the crater... Well, little did they know that when they got there they'd have to pay another admission fee. The guy was a scam artist basically... Haha Well, this is all that remains of his desert stone building. I have a ton more pics of this if y'all want me to post them! Let me know!

I need to adjust the color on some of these desert pics... The red isn't red enough...

This is the Cadillac Ranch... Not the record... the actual place! It's really cool. The cars are literally buried half-way in the ground! No charge to see it and I highly recommend it! It's between Exit 60 and 62 on I-40. You have to get off at Exit 60 and take the service road back up to the ranch.

There's a gate that's always unlocked... And people take the liberty of writing all over it and spray painting it... I thought this rung on the fence was particularly noteworthy... and hilarious.

From Oxford to near St. Louis

There's a political statement in this picture somewhere... I thought it was interesting anyway... Taken in the middle of the Indiana farmland.

This is a little store in Cumberland, Indiana or was it Illinois?? It all blends together after a while...

Just a friendly little reminder that no matter where you are, even in the middle of B.F.E. Indiana on a dirt road, you are never very far away from fast food cooked with chemicals that can and will probably kill you...

So, as you can see the drive to St. Louis wasn't extremely interesting, but I did end up with some weird pics...

Oh, the blissful feeling of returning to your Alma Mater and NOT having to do any classwork... Haha Well, it's an odd feeling, but a good one. So, I'm in Oxford for another day. I can't complain about that. Still hoping to run into a few people I've missed so far...

So, in my quest for new and different things I've gotten another tattoo. It wasn't really an impulsive thing because I've been considering it for quite a while, but getting it today was. I'll put a picture up on here when I can take the bandage off.

Tonight I'm headed to open mic night at StadiUm and then I'm going to turn in early because I am officially (I swear) leaving Oxford bright and early tomorrow morning. Later!

So, the trip from Winchester, VA was full of traffic and wind! I arrived late last night in the bustling metropolis of Oxford, OH. The home of my Alma Mater, Miami University of Ohio (for those of you who don't know). And as I drove up High Street I glimpsed the marquee of the hottest (hardy har har) club in town, First Run/Brick Street/The Donkey/The Dirty... Whatever you choose to call it. It was just then that I realized it was Monday night, the infamous night of karaoke! Hehe Well, to make a long story short I ended up onstage singing my two favorite songs "Black Velvet" and "I Will Survive." I know, I can't help myself. It was amazing and a lot of fun! I ran in to so many people who didn't know I was going to be in town. I loved the looks on their faces it was a mixture of "What the hell?" and "It's so good to see you." Well, at least in most cases!

Anyway, tonight I am preparing for a night of debauchery. I'm hoping to see everyone I care about before I leave! More from the actual road trip later. I'm hoping to get a chance to stop and see all of the sights I never had a chance to see in this lovely country! Haha

I miss everyone!
